How does SpeedBox 3.0 work?
SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning for Bosch Gen4 is equipped with Bluetooth, allowing you to connect it to your phone using the SpeedBox App. With the SpeedBox mobile app, you can manage the SpeedBox. SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning enables you to set a custom speed limit. Once installed, your e-bike's display will show real data such as maximum and average speed, daily distance, and remaining range.
Installation.
SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning is installed between the speed sensor and the display cable, allowing the data to pass through the SpeedBox.
- Remove the bottom guard or protective plastic from the left side of the motor. If necessary, also remove the pedal arm.
- Disconnect the rectangular display cable connector and the square speed sensor connector from the motor.
- Connect the corresponding connectors from the SpeedBox to the motor.
- Attach the connectors that were removed from the motor to the SpeedBox.
- The installation is complete. Test that the bike starts and that the speed data appears on the display by rotating the rear wheel.
- Fit the SpeedBox and connectors so that the bottom guard or protective plastic can be reattached.

Activation.
The SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning can be activated directly from your bike's display. You activate the SpeedBox 3.0 by pressing the WALK button, which will show a value of 9.9km/h on the display. After this, you can ride at speeds of 40km/h, 50km/h, or over 60km/h. To deactivate the SpeedBox, press the WALK button again, and the display will show 2.5km/h, returning the speed limit to 25km/h. After this, the e-bike will operate as it did before the tuning was installed.
SpeedBox is also designed for e-bikes without a WALK button. In this case, you can use the (- + - +) button combination to activate the SpeedBox. You can deactivate it in the same way.
SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning can also be activated through the mobile app, and if you want, you can "hide" the box from the mobile app, after which it cannot be activated using the WALK button anymore.
Speed programming.
The maximum speed assistance can be set by switching modes: Turbo - EMTB - Tour - Eco - Tour - EMTB - Turbo (- - - + + +). Afterward, the real speed limit will appear on the display. The maximum assistance speed can be changed by briefly pressing the WALK button or turning the rear wheel 360°. A value of 1.5 km/h on the display corresponds to a speed limit of 15 km/h, 2 km/h corresponds to 20 km/h, 2.5 km/h to 25 km/h, 3.0 km/h to 30 km/h, and 9.9 km/h to 99 km/h. The last shown limit is saved after 5 seconds of inactivity.
SpeedBox App SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning for Bosch
The SpeedBox App is specifically designed for SpeedBox B.Tuning, using Bluetooth to connect your e-bike to your phone. Once you have downloaded the app and connected your phone to the e-bike, you'll see current data and ride parameters on your phone. Individual rides can be saved, so results can be compared with friends and performance monitored together. So just enjoy the ride and leave parameter checking for later!
