Thanks to DuraSkin® anti-tear fabric, the Grand Prix 4-Season withstands even the most extreme conditions. Cyclists in the Paris-Roubaix race, known as the hell of the north, who used DuraSkin® tires, faced the least tire-related issues during the race.

Due to the highly durable carbon rubber compound, the tire is praised for its excellent wear resistance and remarkable grip on wet roads and at low temperatures. Vectran
Vectran is a puncture protection developed and patented by Continental, which:

• Is lighter and more flexible while offering better protection than comparable nylon protection.
• Does not compromise rolling resistance.
• Is a high-tech fiber synthetically manufactured but based on a natural model.
• Is a liquid crystal polymer (LCP), similar to spider silk.
• Is spun from a melted Vectra liquid polymer and further processed into a multi-strand thread.

Like spider silk, Vectran is extremely tear-resistant while being lightweight. These very properties make it an excellent material for high-end puncture protection in Continental tires.

DuraSkin®
