How does the SpeedBox 3.3 for Yamaha PW-X3, PW-S2 work?
The third-generation smart SpeedBox allows you to set the speed limit for your e-bike. SpeedBox 3.3 enables you to choose the speed limit yourself. Once the chip is installed, your e-bike's display shows accurate information like maximum and average speeds, daily kilometers, and distance traveled.
Activation
SpeedBox can be activated directly from your bike's display. After pressing the LIGHT button or ↑↓↑↓, a value of 99 km/h (62 mph) will appear, and from then on, you can ride without a speed limit. You can deactivate the SpeedBox by pressing the LIGHT button or ↑↓↑↓ again. The display will show a value of 25 km/h (16 mph), and the speed limit will be restored to 25 km/h. Your e-bike will then function as it did before the chip was installed.
Speed Programming
You can also set the maximum speed for electric assistance by switching modes three levels down and then three levels up (↓↓↓↑↑↑). The display will then show the actual speed limit. The maximum speed of the electric assistance can be adjusted by briefly pressing the LIGHT button and turning the rear wheel 360°. The last displayed limit will be saved after 5 seconds of inactivity.
Installation
When you connect the SpeedBox chip to your e-bike, you'll find colored connectors that make installation extremely easy. We have prepared detailed instructions and videos to make the installation process easier. Removing the tuning chip is just as simple. If you encounter any issues with installation or removal, don't hesitate to contact us.
If you plan to install the SpeedBox on a new bike, make sure to ride it for at least 1 km before the chip activates.
