How does SpeedBox 3.1 for Giant work?
The third generation of SpeedBox for Giant electric bikes up to 2022, with a Syncdrive Pro motor and RideControl Go controller.
The SpeedBox 3.1 tuning product for Giant lets you choose the speed limit of your e-bike. After installation, the e-bike display shows real data such as maximum and average speed, trip distance, and remaining range.
Activation
The Speedbox can be activated directly from your bike’s controller. After pressing the walk button, the display will show a value of 9.9 km/h (6.2 mph) and from then on, you can ride at a speed of 40 km/h, 50 km/h, and even over 60 km/h. You can deactivate the Speedbox by pressing the WALK button again. The display will show a value of 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) and the speed limit is reset to 25 km/h. Your e-bike will then operate the same way as before the chip installation.
SpeedBox is also designed for e-bikes that do not have a classic controller with a Walk button. In this case, you can use only the - + - + button combination and the SpeedBox will activate. You can easily deactivate the SpeedBox in the same way.
Speed Programming
You can set the maximum speed of the electric assist by switching mode three levels down and then three levels up (⭣⭣⭣⭡⭡⭡). Then the real speed limit will appear on the display. The maximum speed of the electric assist can be changed by briefly pressing the WALK button or by rotating the rear wheel 360°. A display value of 1.5 km/h corresponds to a limit of 15 km/h, 2 km/h corresponds to 20 km/h, 2.5 corresponds to 25 km/h, 3.0 corresponds to 30 km/h, 9.9 corresponds to 99 km/h, etc. The last displayed limit is saved after 5 seconds of inactivity.
