We do not recommend updating your bike's software, as updates may affect the box's functionality.
How Does SpeedBox 3.0 for Brose Work?
The SpeedBox can be activated directly from your bike's controls. By pressing the WALK button, a value of 9.9 km/h appears on the display, and from that point on, you can ride at speeds of 40 km/h, 50 km/h, or even over 60 km/h.
You can deactivate the SpeedBox by pressing the WALK button again. The display will show a value of 2.5 km/h, and the speed limit will revert to 25 km/h. Your electric bike will then function the same way as it did before the tuning was installed.
The SpeedBox is also designed for e-bikes that do not have a classic control unit with WALK assist functionality. In this case, you can simply use the combination of + - + - buttons, and the SpeedBox will activate. You can easily deactivate the SpeedBox in the same way.
With SpeedBox 3.0, you can choose your desired speed limit.
You can set the maximum speed of the electronic assistance by changing the mode three levels down and then three levels up: TURBO - TRAIL - ECO - OFF - ECO - TRAIL - TURBO. After that, the actual speed limit will appear on the screen. The maximum speed of the electronic assistance can be changed by briefly pressing the WALK button or turning the rear wheel 360°. The display value of 1.5 km/h corresponds to a limit of 15 km/h, 2 km/h corresponds to 20 km/h, 2.5 corresponds to 25 km/h, 3.0 corresponds to 30 km/h, 9.9 corresponds to 99 km/h, etc. The last shown limit is saved after 5 seconds of inactivity.
Installation:
When connecting the SpeedBox 3.0 for Brose to your e-bike, you will find colored connectors that make the installation extremely easy. We have prepared detailed instructions and videos to facilitate the installation. Dismantling the tuning chip is just as easy. If you encounter any problems during installation or dismantling, do not hesitate to contact us. If you plan to install the SpeedBox on a new bike, make sure to ride at least 1 km before installation.
