SpeedBox 1.1 for Bosch is an innovative tuning kit for Bosch Smart System e-bikes, equipped with the latest fourth-generation motor (Gen4). This high-end product removes the 25 km/h speed limit on e-bikes, allowing you to ride up to 35 km/h. The SpeedBox B.Tuning version comes with Bluetooth connection, which you can pair with your phone.

- Note that a system update may cause issues with the box's operation; if you update your bike and the box stops working, it is not covered under warranty.
- Disable automatic updates in the eBike Flow app
- Note! Connect the connectors carefully; do not twist the connectors during assembly!
Warning:
Be aware that using this type of modified e-bike on public roads may be illegal. The manufacturer and retailer disclaims any responsibility for damages arising from the use of SpeedBox products. E-bikes equipped with SpeedBox products must not be used on public roads, bike paths, or public places. They are only to be used on private property and entirely at your own risk. Using SpeedBox may void your bike's warranty. We strongly recommend using other safety features and protective gear to prevent injuries.
- We recommend not updating the firmware of your e-bike. Updating increases the risk of detecting tuning, and if you update your bike and the box stops functioning, it is not covered by warranty.
- When stopping briefly, to ensure smooth continuation of riding, we recommend keeping one foot on the pedal so the countdown does not start.
- When stopping for a longer period, allow at least a partial countdown to occur.
- After a long ride, the countdown may take several minutes.
- Do not remove the display if the countdown has not finished.
- Activate/deactivate tuning before riding (when the e-bike is stationary), not during the ride.
- We recommend not exceeding a speed of 35 km/h.
Installation.
The SpeedBox 1.1 B.Tuning Smart System is installed between the speed sensor and the display cable, allowing data to pass through the SpeedBox.
- Remove the skid plate or protective plastic on the left side of the motor. If necessary, also remove the pedal crank.
- Disconnect the display and speed sensor connector from the motor.
- Connect the corresponding SpeedBox connectors to the motor.
- Connect the connectors removed from the motor to the SpeedBox.
- The installation is complete. Test that the bike starts and that speed data appears on the display by spinning the rear wheel.
- Fit the SpeedBox and connectors such that the skid plate or protective plastic can be reattached.
Activation.
Activate/deactivate the tuning before riding (when the e-bike is stationary), not during the ride!
Activate the SpeedBox 1.1 B.Tuning via the mobile app or directly from your e-bike's control unit using the WALK button (by holding the "-" button). A value of 3.5 km/h will appear on your e-bike display, allowing you to ride up to 35 km/h. You can change the default speed limit to your desired setting (up to 99 km/h), but to minimize the risk of error codes, we recommend not exceeding 35 km/h.
You can disable the tuning after a while using the WALK button (by holding the "-" button). A value of 2.5 km/h will appear on your e-bike display, and the speed limit will reset to 25 km/h. Your e-bike will then work as it did before the tuning installation.
The SpeedBox is also designed for e-bikes without the WALK assist function enabled. In this case, you can activate/deactivate the tuning by quickly switching between two assist modes, i.e., pressing the - + - + buttons.
Speed Programming.
You can set the maximum speed limit by switching from TURBO mode three levels down and then three levels up: eMTB - TOUR+ - ECO - TOUR+ - eMTB - TURBO. The actual speed limit will then be displayed. The maximum speed of the electric assist can be changed by momentarily activating/deactivating the WALK assist function or turning the rear wheel 360°. The display values 2.5 km/h correspond to a 25 km/h limit, 3.0 corresponds to 30 km/h, 3.5 to 35 km/h, and so on. The last shown limit is saved after 15 seconds of inactivity.
Note After Riding.
After riding, leave the e-bike on for a moment until the SpeedBox finishes its "calculation" (ride time continues on the display until it stops and shows the correct distance traveled) to prevent the tuning from being detected on your e-bike. Do not disconnect the display for locking the e-bike until the SpeedBox has completed the "calculation" process.
When you open the SpeedBox app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter a new PIN code. This PIN code will be required each time you open the SpeedBox app. After confirming the PIN code, you will be asked to set a maintenance password. Your maintenance password will be used if you forget the PIN code or want to change it.

The SpeedBox App is specifically designed for SpeedBox B.Tuning, using Bluetooth technology to connect your e-bike to your mobile phone. Once you've downloaded the app and connected your mobile phone to your e-bike, you'll see current data and ride parameters on your phone. Individual rides can be saved to compare results with friends and track performance together. So just enjoy the ride and leave the parameter checking for later use!
