Tubolight concept:
We tested many different options to find the best combination of even protection, speed, impact absorption, stability, and weight. This is why each version has its own shape and combination. We all know why inserts are designed: to protect the tire from damage and improve ride quality.

The new Tubolight brings a new standard.

In our study of tire compression and how inserts interact with the tire and rim, we redistributed material to the right place, over and outside of the rim's edge. The portion over the rim edge increases by 30-60% depending on the rim width, and combined with a harder compound, rim impacts are significantly reduced. We retain a very tight fit to increase lateral stability.

Air Channel:
The air channel between the insert and rim acts like a valve. Upon impact, some air molecules inside the tire shift from the outer part of the insert to the channel, creating a pressure difference. Because the insert is extremely snug at the edge, these molecules get "trapped" and take a fraction longer to equalize the pressure between the outer and inner parts. This results in reduced rolling resistance and tire bounce. Together, these two features achieve what every cyclist seeks: EFFICIENCY.

For the first installation, we recommend not applying sealant to the valve.
