Vectran
Vectran is a puncture protection developed and patented by Continental that:

• Is lighter and more flexible and offers more protection than comparable nylon puncture protection.

• Is a liquid crystal polymer (LCP), like spider silk.
• Spun from a melted Vectra liquid polymer and further processed into a multi-strand thread. Like spider silk, Vectran boasts excellent tear resistance while being lightweight. These qualities make it an outstanding material for use in high-performance puncture protection in Continental tires.
