The new light is in a locked state in the package to prevent accidental switch-on:

1. To unlock, press the switch for about 6 seconds, and the blue light on the switch will flash twice = the lock is released and you can use all light modes.
2. To lock the light again, turn it off - press the switch for about 6 seconds, and the blue light on the switch will flash twice = the lock is activated.
